I Am Poem

I am happy and nice,

I wonder what I will grow up to be,

I hear happy music,

I see people dancing around,

I want to someday learn to fly,

I am happy and nice,

I pretend that I can fly,

I feel sad when people are mean,

I touch the sky,

I worry about the zombie apocolipse,

I cry when people die,

I am happy and nice,

I understand why I am here,

I say that people should be nice,

I dream of a perfect life,

I try to do the best that I can,

I hope someday that I can fly,

I am happy and nice.

Christmas Break

     For Christmas I got an Xbox 360 Slim with Kinect. I was so excited to get it that I could not even get to sleep the night before. I also got lots of games. I played it for a long time after I got it.
    I went snowboarding over the break also. We have season passes to Sundance so we try to go as much as possible. I love it. We went two times over break. The conditions were awesome. The first time we went there was about one foot of pure powder. I am much more comfortable doing tricks in the powder because if you fall, you land in a soft cushion of powder. It feels like you are on a cloud when you snowboard fast in soft powder but when you fall it is almost impossible to get back up.
     I also went sledding. We went with our cousins who are visiting us from California. It was a blast. We went to this big bowl that has steep hills and jumps. Me and my brother went on the big hills while my sisters and cousins stayed on the small hills.
     These are just a few of the things I did over Christmas break.

Utopias

   I think that utopias are a horrible idea. You can't even make your own choices. In the book, there is no music, love, feelings, or even colors. You can't have your own family and you can't even choose your spouse! You get all of your choices made for you. I think that people should get to make their own decisions. On top of all that, they get killed for breaking the rules! The people in the community have no understanding of life or death. They can't feel love or even sadness. They can't even understand what life is outside of the community. You have no choice in leaving. If you try, they will kill you. They even assign you a career! You are stuck with that with that career until you are sent to the house of the old. After that, they kill you and drop your body down the trash shoot. I think that Utopian societies are horrible. They turn people into robots.You have no freedom at all.
